More Observations on Ecovillage Living (PPB #21)

ecovillage welcome

I’ve worked with Zachary Shahan in various capacities for nearly two years, and knew he had some interesting life experiences, but it wasn’t until I read his guest post for the blogathon at Planetsave that I knew he had lived in an ecovillage: EcoVillage at Ithaca.

While you might expect some overlap with Rachel Katz’s post, Zach’s perspective is quite unique (as is Rachel’s). For some, I’m guessing his observation that ecovillage living is “modern” may come as somewhat of a surprise, though I can confirm that from my own limited experience (hey, I’m writing on a laptop with a wireless connection from an ecovillage… right now). Go check out what he’s written…

We’d love to hear other stories from ecovillages. If you’ve lived at one, or spent a good amount of time at one, let us know about it. What are your observations?

We’d like to thank Appalachian Outdoors, sellers of Life is Good and Green Label Organic clothing brands, for their pledged donation to Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage.
