Come Hang with sustainablog to Discuss Permaculture

permaculture

Perhaps because of the word’s similarity to “agriculture,” I assumed for a long time that permaculture was only about gardening/food production. While growing food is a part of the concept, permaculture is much more holistic – and that’s what makes it endlessly fascinating from my perspective. If you’re looking to reduce your own environmental impact, permaculture provides a framework for figuring out what will work for you.

Vague enough? We’ll get more specific in our discussion at our Hangin’ with sustainablog Hangout on Air on Friday at 10am Central. I’m inviting a variety of contacts I have in the permaculture community to join us at our Google+ page and discuss the subject itself, as well as specific projects that fit within this paradigm. Still waiting for responses, but working to have some good folks there to answer any questions you might have.

Join us – ought to be a lot of fun!
