They’re Made Out of What…?

Metaefficient beat me to the punch, but I want to take this opportunity to help spread the word on one of the coolest eco-fashion accessories I’ve seen in some time: the Ecoist handbag. These bags are made from (and this is where it gets cool) “recycled candy wrappers, food packages, and soft drink labels.” The company website notes “These excess materials have been discarded due to printing defects or discontinued candy lines.” Clearly, the folks at Ecoist take the old maxim “One person’s trash, another person’s treasure” to new heights… Thanks to Ecoist Marketing Assistant Barbara Alfonzo for cluing me in… Oh, and I’m not getting any referral fees or anything like that…
