Critiquing the news on Climate Change

Seen the statistics in several sources this week about dire predictions of massive plant and animal extinction because of global warming — scary stuff indeed. Doug sent me this piece from Z magazine that, though radical in it’s outlook, certainly offers a compelling criticism of the mainstream media’s unwillingness to take on corporate polluters. I’m also concerned that none of the articles I’ve read this week make any mention of the potential dangers that exist from a drop in biodiversity. As such, they still present the image of “environmentalists” as those more concerned with wild plants and animals than human beings. As the cliche goes, we’re all in this together…
