The environmental agenda…

of the second Bush administration will provide a “free-market tilt” to environmental regulation, according to this article from the New York Times. I find this kind of language disingenuous at best, as “free market” is equated with “business as usual” in regards to environmental concerns. How come sustainable development initiatives by successful business people like Paul Hawken, Ray Anderson, and the other sustainability susperstars never figure into the conservative’s conversation on the environment?
