Renewable Energy Takes a Back Seat to Hydrogen

So say RenewableEnergyAccess.com in this article concerning federal funding for the President’s Hydrogen Fuel Initiative. The problem, as mentioned here before, and noted prominently in this article, is that “almost all hydrogen is produced via steam reforming of natural gas at oil refineries” today, and the President’s plan doesn’t do much to shift that. Imagine that — our Texas oilman president wants to support “clean energy” that still comes from dirty fuels (that, of course, enriches his oil buddies).
