Back in the Saddle…

With the semester winding down, blogging’s had to take a low position on the list of priorities, but, never fear, Sustainablog is not dead (Long live Sustainablog!)

Harvery Wasserman’s article on the energy bill before Congress provides a fascinating history of the political hanky-panky surrounding renewable energy development since the early ’50s. Finally, why on earth are we subsidizing oil, gas and coal? Forget the environmental aspects — aren’t these established, profitable industries? Don’t we pay enough at the gas pump and on our heating bills without also sending them our tax money?
