Back in the Saddle…

With the semester winding down, blogging’s had to take a low position on the list of priorities, but, never fear, Sustainablog is not dead (Long live Sustainablog!)

Harvery Wasserman’s article on the energy bill before Congress provides a fascinating history of the political hanky-panky surrounding renewable energy development since the early ’50s. This background further shows the disaster waiting with this bill. Urge you Congressperson and Senators to reject this turkey… you can do that here, here,

Finally, why on earth are we subsidizing oil, gas and coal? Forget the environmental aspects — aren’t these established, profitable industries? Don’t we pay enough at the gas pump and on our heating bills without also sending them our tax money?
