Evangelical Christianity generally seems in lock-step with the corporate lackies in the White House, but the Rev. Rick Cizik continues to push “creation care” as a Biblically-mandated position. This UK Telegraph article notes that this places Rev. Cizik, the Washington representative for the National Association of Evangelicals, in a tenuous political position, but he seems to be sticking to his guns. Folks from both sides of the ideological spectrum have criticized a potential partnering between environmentalists and evangelicals, and there certainly are issues that still need negotiation, but given the current political climate, I can’t think of a better way to “spread the word…”
