Very interesting news — Dubya’s newest budget proposal contains cuts in farm subsidies. While I don’t think for a minute that concern for the family farm or more sustainable means of agriculture has anything to do with this decision, I have to wonder if this isn’t a opening that can be exploited towards these ends…
