Is a word used frequently in Southern Louisiana (where I’m from) that means “a little something extra.” In response to the disaster in SE Asia, several green businesses are kicking in some lagniappe to help with the aftermath of the tsunami. I’ll be happy to post information from any green/sustainable business that’s making a special effort in this time of need. For now:
- Ecohosting.net is donating 50% of all new hosting revenues for the month of January to relief efforts.
- Planda Soap Company is donating 50% of its January profits to UNICEF’s fund-raising effort.
- Pangaya will donate 10% of January revenue to the Red Cross relief fund.
It’s good to see the green/sustainable business community stepping up to the plate in response to an enormous amount of human suffering. Please support these companies and their efforts.
Please note: I’ll continue to update this post with further information
