Natural Food Giants

From the Tampa Tribune via Go Organic!, news of a locally-owned natural food store’s preparations for the imminent arrival of Wild Oats Natural Marketplace. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m truly torn in regards to “green” chain stores — while they can certainly raise the profile of sustainable products and agriculture, they also can “Wal-Mart-ize” the movement by wiping out smaller, independent stores like Tampa’s Nature’s Harvest Market.
