Many thanks to Ben Kenney of theWatt for inviting me to join Ryan Wiseman from besustainable.com and Michael Olivo from IfEnergy for a panel discussion that he recorded and published as a podcast today. Among the topics we discussed: the proposed windfarm off of Texas’ Padre Island that would be the US’ largest, Great Britain’s (or, at least, Tony Blair’s) nuclear ambitions, the Kyoto Treaty discussion session held in Bonn, Germany, and US consumers unwillingness to change their habits in the face of higher gas prices. It was a lot of fun, with a number of diversions into the Cape Wind project and even suburban sprawl. Listen if you like, and feel free to comment on any of the points made by any of us. Ben’s thinking about making this a regular feature — I sure hope he invites me back…;-) And while I hate to make generalizations, it wouldn’t be a stretch, at least after listening to this, to conclude that Canadians clearly have much better radio voices than Americans… at least this one…
