Renewable Energy Funds for Schools in Great Britain

Talk about putting your money where your mouth is… The UK’s Guardian has published an overview of funding programs available for Great Britain’s schools that want to install renewable energy technologies. The article notes that renewable energy “is no longer just the domain of the science lab or the geography lesson – wind turbines, solar panels and wood stoves are increasingly becoming part of fabric of many schools.” As I’ve noted before, I really believe that actual working solar panels, wind turbines and other renewable structures provide a much more valuable opportunity for learning about energy than the classroom lessons.

On a seperate note, I find it interesting that the British “Clear Skies” really supports, you know, clear skies…

hi ##NAME## it’s neat I found your blog because I was looking for smart child related stuff for my own site about ##LINK##. I’d love for my site to link to yours. I just read ##TITLE## and I’m trying to build a directory that has to do with smart child, so on the page http://www.allforgiftedchildren.com/lm/resources/ it’d be nice if you could add your site. Have a nice day!
