Sunday, Sunday…

As usual, the blogs and feeds are a bit slow on Sunday morning, and I should get writing on an article that’s coming due. Of course, the disaster down South is still ongoing, and to top it off, Chief Justice Renquist has died. Both of these obviously have massive implications for the US environment and progress towards a more sustainable society. So, what do you think? It seems we’re at a watershed moment. Can the disaster that’s arisen from Katrina and been exacerbated by numerous unsustainable activities serve as tipping point for discussions about more sustainable directions for the US? Will the debate over two Supreme Court seats and a new Chief Justice include discussion of the Court’s role in shaping and protecting our environmental legacy? Fire away…

BTW, the Liberal Blogosphere’s collection for Katrina’s victims continues. I’ll keep the ad on the right up as long as the campaign lasts.
