Since I posted about the finished energy bill this morning that’s likely coming up for a vote later this week, I’ve received action alerts from three different organizations trying to round up people to contact their Senators and Representatives to vote “No.” Here are the alerts I’ve received so far:
- The Wilderness Society
- The League of Conservation Voters
- I received an alert from SaveOurEnvironment.org also, but am having trouble finding a general alert on their site.
I’d imagine that this bill will pass, but we need to register our discontent. Calling your Senators and Representatives is always a good idea, too.
UPDATE: If you need another reason to believe that this bill’s a crock, just found out that the Renewable Energy Portfolio Standard was dropped from the final bill. Thanks to @Monkeysign for the heads-up…
