From the Moberly (MO) Monitor-Index via Green Car Congress<\/a>, an announcement<\/a> that<\/p>\n …Missouri’s first major biodiesel production plant was going to be constructed in Mexico, Mo.<\/p>\n Mid America Biofuels, LLC, in coordination with the Missouri Soybean Association (MSA) held a press conference outside the Audrain County Courthouse today to announce plans to build the multi-million plant in mid-Missouri.<\/p>\n Mid America Biofuels, LLC is a partnership of Biofuels, LLC, a Missouri farmer-owned biodiesel business; Archer Daniels Midland Company; Ray-Carroll County Grain Growers; and MFA Oil Company. The facility will use soybean oil as feedstock and carry a nameplate capacity of 30 million gallons of biodiesel production per year.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n This should be great news for the local economy, and also shows that mid-Missouri is slowly becoming a bit player in renewable energy development — the Rev.
