While I’ve bitched and whined some about the lack of environmental coverage on the big political blogs, <\/a>it is interesting to see that a number of them are taking to the peak oil concept. Kevin Drum had his series of posts at Political Animal<\/a>, and now Atrios provides an overview of the concept<\/a>, along with charts. So why do you think peak oil is striking a chord with these folks? Is it more “current” than, say, the energy debate in the Senate?<\/a> Is it the idea that we may feel its sting more quickly than climate change (although that’s arguable — just ask folks in Florida about hurricanes)?
