It suddenly dawned on me also that school starts in less than two weeks &#8212; yikes &#8212; when I go on vacation, I <em>really<\/em> go on vacation&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>When I posted on Monday about photographer Edward Burtynsky, I had no idea that he was one of the recipients of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ted.com\/\">TED<\/a>&#8216;s 2004 Prizes. Thanks to Anna for pointing that out, as well as noting the unique nature of the prizes: promotion of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ted.com\/tedprize\/2004\/burtynsky.cfm\">three wishes<\/a> by the recipient. <\/p>\n<p>I must admit &#8212; TED is one of those programs that has fallen through the cracks of my attention span, but after spending a little time on their website, I realize that was a major oversight on my part. So, in order to make up for my ignorance, I&#8217;d like to offer up space on sustainablog for addressing the first of Edward&#8217;s wishes: &#8220;To encourage a massive and productive worldwide conversation about sustainable living.&#8221; The plan of execution involves promoting <a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldchanging.com\">WorldChanging<\/a> (something I&#8217;m happy to do, obviously) as part of a media campaign incorporating Burtynsky&#8217;s work along with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sagemeister.com\">Sagemeister<\/a>&#8216;s design.
