I often get asked “What’s the most important thing I can do to save the environment?” That’s a big question, no doubt, and one driven by other values and priorities. I often encourage people to think small, rather than large: little acts do add up over time, and they’re much easier to turn into habits.<\/p>\n

I’m guessing that’s the kind of thinking going on behind ENERGY STAR’s new “Do 1 Thing ENERGY STAR” campaign<\/a>. Between now and the end of the year, the government agency will focus on the little things all of us can do to save energy<\/a> and fight climate change<\/a>. This week’s theme is lighting, and the campaign has created a range of good content to help you make the most efficient choices (while also making sure you can see well!).
