A few days ago, I took notice<\/a> of BusinessWeek<\/em>‘s special issue on renewable energy and green building. It turns out they’re not the only publication focusing in detail this week on environmental issues: LA Weekly<\/em><\/a> has published a series of articles this week under the title “Clear and Present Danger: What You Can’t See Can Kill You.” Air quality, of course, is still a concern in Los Angeles, and this special issue dives into the topic with articles on the new danger posed by particulates<\/a>, the long-range health effects of smog<\/a>, and the political maneuvering<\/a> that has diverted attention away from this major public health hazard. As with the BusinessWeek issue, I simply haven’t had the time to look at LA Weekly<\/em> as closely as I would like, so I welcome your reviews and comments.
