{"id":1715,"date":"2005-10-30T15:11:00","date_gmt":"2005-10-30T15:11:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sustainablog.greenoptions.com\/2005\/10\/30\/renewable-energy-down-on-the-farm\/"},"modified":"2005-10-30T15:11:00","modified_gmt":"2005-10-30T15:11:00","slug":"renewable-energy-down-on-the-farm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sustainablog.org\/articles\/renewable-energy-down-on-the-farm\/","title":{"rendered":"Renewable Energy Down on the Farm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ireland&#8217;s <em>Farming Life<\/em> asks <a href=\"http:\/\/www.farminglife.com\/story\/5953\">&#8220;Will Renewable Energy Crops Drive Future Of Farming?&#8221;<\/a> and takes a look at the multiple ways Irish farmers can incorporate renewable energy production into their operations in order to either power themselves or produce energy as yet another &#8220;crop.&#8221; While the article focuses on a variety of means that farmers can turn current wastes into fuel sources, it also promotes the cultivation of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Oilseed_rape\">oilseed rape<\/a>.
