The UK Telegraph’s fashion section from Friday has an idea for a green, novel, and even realistic New Year’s resolution: “…why not resolve to buy eco-friendly clothes?<\/a>” Writer Hilary Alexander focuses on Edun<\/a>, brainchild of Ali Hewson (aka Mrs. Bono), and organic cotton. sustainablog readers know there are many more options in terms of designers, styles and fabrics — and, oh yeah, we do know a model<\/a> taking eco-consciousness to the runways and red carpets… I’m not here to criticize, though, as it’s great to see eco-fashion hitting the mainstream: Alexander notes “since 2003, the British market for ethical clothes has grown by 30 per cent to \u00a343 million.” And I’m happy to see the mainstream fashion press taking note of these developments…<\/p>\n
