The upsides are incredibly promising, and developments such as growing consumer demand and business recognition of the &#8220;bottom-line case&#8221; for environmental innovation should keep us hopeful. At the same time, general public ignorance of environmental issues and the lack of small business buy-in seem like real impediments to a genuine flowering of green business in the early 21st century.
