No doubt most of us are focused on plans for Christmas, Kwanzaa, and New Year’s Eve at this point: that includes HR folks, so the job pickings are a bit sparse right now. But there are no holidays if you’re looking for a job, so we wanted to round up a few waste management positions that have gone up on Green Job Post recently. Take a look below, and let us know if you decide to throw your name in the hat. And Happy Holidays from sustainablog!

Waste Management Jobs From Green Jobs Post: December 20

Driver Trainee

Company: Rumpke Waste and Recycling

The residential driver and driver trainee positions are one of our most physically demanding jobs. Drivers are responsible for servicing assigned route(s) with the collection and hauling of waste or recycling materials to a disposal site or recycling plant. This position routinely requires extensive physical exertion (lifting, pushing, and pulling trash receptacles weighing up to 75 pounds each from the ground approximately 300-500 times per day) and entering/exiting the truck approximately 600-1000 times per day. Drivers and Trainees are exposed to extreme weather conditions and unpleasant odors and sights. The hours and physical demand may vary by route or area.
