I’m just whipped tonight, so rather than putting up a few ill-conceived, barely-comprehensible posts, I’ll stick to a preview of coming attractions… Had a wonderful phone conversation this afternoon with Kathleen Rogers, president of the Earth Day Network. I’ve met many passionate people in my life, but, even across the phone lines, it was clear that Kathleen embodies the concept. What did we discuss? You name it: climate change, traditional environmentalism, “The Death of Environmentalism,” environmental justice, Canada’s rejection of the Kyoto treaty… and, oh yeah, Earth Day. I’ll be kicking off a countdown to Earth Day next week with a feature based on our discussion, and also plan to write a piece on her for Greener.
