Smart business leaders are looking for ways to cut costs and reduce their environmental impact \u2014 but they may not know exactly how to do it.<\/h3>\n<p>Environmental Defense Fund has just launched the Innovation Exchange, a first-of-its-kind online resource that allows businesses to quickly identify steps they can take, from greening their fleets to reducing paper use.<\/p>\n<p>The new EDF site provides companies with recommendations, case studies, publications and tools to make changes that are good for the environment and the bottom line, for example:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/innovation.edf.org\/page.cfm?tagid=30518\">Advice by industry<\/a>, from financial services to transportation.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/innovation.edf.org\/page.cfm?tagid=31208\">Dozens of case studies<\/a> from a range of companies.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.edf.org\/page.cfm?tagid=31186\">Five simple steps<\/a> to get started.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more-->The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.edf.org\/page.cfm?tagid=31186\">Get Started<\/a> section includes recommendations for companies just beginning to understand their environmental performance that need guidance on everything from measuring impact to taking concrete action.<\/p>\n<p>Many of the tools, best practices and case studies on the site are based on EDF&#8217;s 20 years of experience creating environmental innovations through partnering with Fortune 500 companies including <a href=\"http:\/\/www.edf.org\/page.cfm?tagID=30747\">McDonalds<\/a>, Wal-Mart and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.edf.org\/page.cfm?tagid=30758\">FedEx<\/a>.\u00a0The Exchange also includes links to external resources vetted by EDF experts.<\/p>\n<p>In the coming months, EDF will build out the interactive aspects of the Exchange and develop offline initiatives such as webinars, training programs and fellowships.<\/p>\n<p>If you know someone who can influence strategy and operations at a company, tell them about it \u2014 <a href=\"http:\/\/innovation.edf.org\/page.cfm?tagid=31219\">innovation.edf.org<\/a>.
