How Green is John Edwards?

From Grist‘s “Muckraker” Amanda Griscom, via Salon (and found through the Eco-Portal News Feed), an analysis of John Edwards as an evironmental champion. The verdict: Despite a seemingly low 63% rating from the League of Conservation Voters (which has endorsed his VP candidacy), Edwards has demonstrated real growth in his role as environmental advocate, consistantly voting against drilling in ANWR, against Bush administration “environmental” policy (a la “Healthy Forests” and “Clear Skies”), and supporting decidedly unglamourous issues like new source review for power plants.  And, don’t forget the other question we should ask:  How dirty is Dick Cheney?
