Editor’s note: I’m a sucker for a good story about small groups of people doing big things (as well as a fan of the famous Margaret Mead quote “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”). We’ve seen a lot of examples of ordinary citizens taking action to try right wrongs they see, ranging from the Arab Spring to the Madison, Wisconsin protests, to #OccupyWallStreet, to, yes, even the Tea Party. Here’s another of those stories (on a much smaller scale) that Lynn Fang at sister site Green Living Ideas found.
