Good insights, Jeff. It really may have to be the private sector and individual countries (or states) that lead the way. Once proven successful, others will come along, but global summits with nonbinding elements are just difficult. If countries participating would start exercising some of its economic muscle by doing trade sanctions against polluting countries, that would be the kind of thing that would actually make a difference. But in the short term, we need to focus on what is working, and what we all can do in our own home and communities. It’s empowering to do so, and comes with all sorts of unexpected benefits of better living.
